Summer Development Programme

Over the summer months we offer a high performance program to selected representative players. The format of the program may change from year to year, so watch our Facebook page or keep in touch with your coach for more info.

Representative Programme - U14, U16, U18, U20, SENIOR

All players are encouraged to attend our open trials for age group representative basketball teams. Trials are typically held early February (later in the year for U14).

Representative teams attend a series of local warm-up tournaments, building to the National Qualifiers tournament. From here if qualified, teams will attend the National Age Group Championship, or if not, a Mainland Zone Tournament. Pinacle tournaments are typically held mid year for U16, U18, U20 and  a regional tournament in the term 3 holidays for U14.

Nationals Age Group Championships and Talent Programmes

Players are also eligible to be selected as loan players, to ensure the best players from each region have an opportunity to play at Nationals. From these championships, players are identified for National Talent Programmes and National Age Group Teams. Coaches can also directly refer talented players to the National Talent Program.
