South Canterbury Basketball (SCBA) is Timaru’s home for community basketball — from primary school Kiwi Hoops to senior leagues and representative teams. Whether you’re a first-time player, coach, referee, or parent, we offer inclusive programmes and competitions for every age and stage.

We deliver community-driven basketball across South Canterbury — from young players learning the game at school, to club athletes competing on Friday nights, and rep players wearing South Canterbury colours. With holiday programmes, development pathways, and leagues running year-round, there’s a place for everyone on the court.
